COMPO-VIBES: the new era of vibrating instruments
Vibrating Instruments have been used for decades in dentistry, especially by dental technicians. All thixotropic materials benefit from these vibrations in order to modify their consistency and obtain several advantages.
Softened composites produce less bubbles and/or imperfections, and they become easier to adapt and make uniform. Heating composites is a confusing technique, that gives different results depending on the material used and with the high risk of ruining their composition proven by literature.
Now-a-days we can have the same advantages when vibrating composite materials without compromising their physical properties or their chemical stability and with the advantage of choosing when to make composites soft or hard with just a click.
COMPO-VIBES is the new era of vibrating instruments, with a fast tip switch mechanism, and having the best Styleitaliano modeling tips and Compo-brush.
5 tips for all
5 tips for all
COMPO-VIBES is the new, compact and light low frequency vibration modeling instrument developed by StyleItaliano.

Tip Thin
A needle like tip, useful for fine structures modeling, flowable placement and tints application.

Tip Medium
Rounded medium plugger special for composite materials, for packing and adapting medium and small composite increments.

Tip Large
Rounded large plugger special for composite materials, for packing and adapting big composite increments.

Spatule
A wide flat ultra thin instrument for modeling, composite placement and sculpting. Can be used with or without vibrations.

COMPO BRUSH ANT-Tip
With this tip, you will get a smooth, firm and more resistant to unwanted polymerization.

Red Button
Its red button allowing a vibration in continuous mode or with short impulses (vibration frequency 140 Hz).

COMPO-VIBES
Advantages:
Thanks to the micro-vibrations it generates, COMPO-VIBES optimises the material’s thixothropic properties and makes your work easier.
- Modeling and sculpture of composites much easier and fast
- Heating composites without compromising their physical properties or their chemical stability
- Choosing when to make composites soft or hard with just a click
- Better adaptation of the composite to the cavity wall, no detachment
- Bubble air and imperfections removal
- Composite much less sticky than with a traditional instrument
- Increased control of material thicknesses
- More precise application

Tips and tricks on how to use COMPO-VIBES directly from dr Walter Devoto
In order to work index-free, the goal is to obtain a manageable defect by adding up resources. We will focus on creating the proximal structures guided by the natural tooth and the neighbor teeth, and then adjust, based on said surrounding anatomical structures. An anatomical matrix was used to help develop the proximal walls.

The material was adapted with COMPO-VIBES
Using COMPO-VIBES with the “Medium Tip”, the material being vibrated adapts very easily thanks to its thixotropic properties. The moment the vibration is removed the composite goes back to a stiffer consistency.

Composite is condensed with vibrations
COMPO-VIBES with the “Large Tip” is used. Finger is held firmly in place trying not make excessive pressure. This is important not to create a subtractive defect on the palatal.

Texture transfer strategy
By simply passing the information from one surface (sound tooth) to the other (uncured composite) with the help of a modeling instrument, we can recreate the buccal surface fast and precisely. COMPO-VIBES with the “Medium Tip” would be the first choice.
